The State Minister for Primary and Mass Education has announced that the expansion of arts, music, dance, and sports education in primary schools will necessitate the recruitment of 50,000 to 60,000 specialized teachers over the next five years. This initiative aims to create new employment opportunities for young graduates in these fields and establish sustainable career paths. The government intends to integrate these subjects not merely as extracurricular activities, but as integral components of holistic student development. Discussions were held with university faculty and experts to develop appropriate training programs and curricula for aspiring primary school teachers in these specialized areas. The new curriculum, set to be fully implemented by 2028, will feature art and culture as distinct subjects.
