হামের উপসর্গে ৮ শিশুর মৃত্যু
হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে দেশে আরও আট শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এদের মধ্যে ছয়টি শিশুই ঢাকা বিভাগের। এ নিয়ে ৮৮ দিনে দেশে হাম ও হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে মৃতের সংখ্যা ৬৩৯ জনে দাঁড়িয়েছে। এর মধ্যে হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে ৫৪৭ শিশু ও নিশ্চিত হামে ৯২ শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আজ বুধবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সর্বশেষ প্রতিবেদন থেকে এসব তথ্য জানা গেছে। এ হিসাব গতকাল মঙ্গলবার সকাল আটটা থেকে আজ সকাল আটটা পর্যন্ত সময়ের। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে যে ৮ শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে, তাদের মধ্যে ৬ শিশুই ঢাকা বিভাগের। এ ছাড়া সিলেট ও
Eight more children have died in the country due to measles symptoms, with six of these cases occurring in the Dhaka division. This brings the total number of deaths from measles and its symptoms to 639 over 88 days. Of these, 547 children died from measles symptoms and 92 from confirmed measles.
In the last 24 hours, 829 children were hospitalized with measles symptoms, predominantly in the Dhaka division, followed by Chittagong and Barisal. During the same period, 853 children were discharged from hospitals after recovering.
The rising number of child deaths from measles highlights the ongoing public health challenge and the need for continued vaccination efforts and monitoring.
