TOKYO: Malaysia dan Jepun bersetuju memperkukuh kerjasama dalam bidang pelaburan berteknologi tinggi termasuk teknologi kuantum, kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan semikonduktor sempena lawatan rasmi Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ke Jepun. This agreement was reached during Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's official visit to Japan, where discussions were held with his Japanese counterpart to secure continued support for Malaysia's technological development. Both nations emphasized the importance of research and development in new technologies, particularly quantum computing, which is emerging as a globally strategic field. The Malaysian government is considering the establishment of a National Quantum Council to better coordinate development in this highly technical area. International tech giant IBM has also identified Malaysia as a key location for expanding its quantum technology initiatives.
