Andrada finds more high-grade lithium

Andrada Mining has reported new high-grade lithium results from its Lithium Ridge project in the Erongo region. The latest drilling confirmed that lithium mineralisation extends deeper underground than previously identified. Andrada announced the results yesterday as part of an exploration programme being carried out with its partner, SQM. The latest results come from six additional drill holes completed at the project. Andrada said the strongest result came from drill hole LRD027, which intersected 9m grading 2.28% lithium oxide, including a section of 4m grading 3.46% lithium oxide. Other significant results included 13m grading 1.42% lithium oxide from drill hole LRD024, and 10m grading 1.24% lithium oxide from drill hole LRD023. Andrada chief executive Anthony Viljoen yesterday said the results continue to strengthen the company’s confidence in the project. “Intersection grades up to 3.46% Li2O near-surface demonstrate exceptional quality and scale, reaffirming our shared conviction in the potential of the asset,” he said. Viljoen said the company expanded its drilling programme to better define the size of the mineralised system and assess its economic potential. The latest results also confirmed the presence of tin and tantalum alongside lithium mineralisation. One of the drill holes intersected 5m grading 0.21% tin, and 130 parts per million of tantalum. The results mark the completion of the expanded first stage of the drilling campaign at Lithium Ridge. Andrada completed 143 drill holes, covering about 16 500m across the licence area.
