Thattaniyath T.O. Philip, 86, chairman and managing director of Kerala Publicity Bureau, the first INS accredited advertising agency in Kerala, passed away on Thursday.

A pioneering figure in Kerala’s advertising industry, Mr. Philip was also actively associated with several social and community organisations. He served as general secretary of the Knanaya Yuvajana Samajam and the E.M. Philip Foundation, besides holding the posts of general secretary and vice-president of the Knanaya Social Forum. He was also the executive trustee of the Mar Severios Education Trust, a member of the Knanaya Association, a trustee of Kottayam Valiyapally, and founder president of the Kerala Advertising Agencies Association, Kottayam.

The funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Knanaya Valiyapally, Thazhathangady, at 12 noon on Friday (June 12, 2026).

He is survived by his wife, Rajamma Philip, and their three children, Jaison Philip, Jebison Philip, and Juby Philip.
