The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) has called for continued policy support and incentives to foster the sustainable growth of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector. BACCO President Tanvir Ibrahim highlighted the sector's role in boosting foreign exchange earnings and creating employment for the youth in Bangladesh's strengthening position in the global outsourcing market. He urged for the reinstatement of a 10% incentive, a reduction in source VAT to 5%, and tax exemptions for modern services like BPO, cloud services, and SEO. Furthermore, extending the tax holiday for BPO, IT, and ITES sectors until 2031 is crucial for maintaining global competitiveness.

The BPO sector is a significant contributor to Bangladesh's economy, and sustained policy support is vital for its continued growth and job creation.
