Kunstenaar schildert spoortunnel in Melsele: "Graffiti en vandalisme tegengaan"
Kunstenaar Gerry Smet mag in opdracht van Melsele (Beveren-Kruibeke-Zwijndrecht) de hele spoortunnel schilderen. Het wordt een muurschildering van zo'n 180 meter lang. De gemeente hoopt zo vandalisme tegen te gaan.
Artist Gerry Smet has been commissioned by the municipality of Melsele to create a large mural spanning the entire 180-meter-long railway tunnel. This initiative aims to beautify the area and deter vandalism.
The project is expected to transform the tunnel into a vibrant piece of public art, replacing the current state which may be prone to graffiti and other forms of damage.
