Honda Recalls Over 880,000 Cars for Suspension Issue

Honda is initiating a recall for over 880,000 vehicles due to a potential issue with rear suspension components. The affected vehicles, including specific models of Honda Pilot, Ridgeline, Passport, and Acura MDX from various model years, may experience corrosion at suspension mounting points. This corrosion could lead to the failure of the rear subframe, potentially causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

The automaker estimates that only a small percentage of the recalled vehicles are affected by this defect. Honda has stated there have been no reported injuries or deaths related to this problem. Owners will be notified by mail starting July 7, and dealers will inspect and repair or replace the affected components free of charge.
