The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) seized 77 red sanders logs, along with a car and a two-wheeler, and apprehended two individuals.

Under the directions of Task Force Head L. Subbarayudu, Superintendent of Police (RSASTF) P. Sreenivas dispatched the combing teams into Narayanavanam forest beat of Puttur range in Tirupati division.

While checking vehicles on the Puttur-Nesanuru road early on Wednesday, the teams found a car and a two-wheeler speeding on the road and stopped them. While two persons tried to flee, police rounded them up and seized 77 red sanders logs from their possession. One of individuals was found to be from Puttur, while the other is suspected to be from Tiruvannamalai district in Tamil Nadu.

A case has been registered at Task Force Police Station in Tirupati.
