APCRDA and GIIS representatives exchange the agreement for setting up a new school campus in Amaravati on Wednesday.
In a boost to the educational infrastructure of Andhra Pradesh’s capital region, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has entered into an agreement with Global Indian International School (GIIS), a reputed international education group, to set up a new school campus in Amaravati.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday between APCRDA and GIIS K12 Education Private Limited, which operates the Global Indian International School network in India. APCRDA Joint Director (Estates) Jubin Cheeran Roy signed on behalf of the authority, while Country Director Rajeev Koul represented GIIS K12 Education Private Limited.
As part of the project, APCRDA has allotted four acres of land at Sakhamuru village in Thulluru mandal, within the Amaravati Capital Region. The proposed campus will feature modern infrastructure built to international standards and will offer quality learning opportunities to students from Amaravati and neighbouring areas.
Representatives of the institution said the school would provide world-class educational facilities and help build a strong academic ecosystem in the capital region. Officials said the establishment of GIIS in Amaravati would strengthen the city’s educational profile and create employment opportunities for local residents. The project is also expected to enhance Amaravati’s appeal as a hub for quality education and planned urban development.
