সব সরকারি মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ওসিসি চালুর উদ্যোগ: সংসদে মন্ত্রী

The government is planning to establish 'One-Stop Crisis Centers' (OCC) in all public medical college hospitals across Bangladesh to provide comprehensive support to victims of violence, particularly women and children. This initiative was announced in the National Parliament by the Minister of Women and Children Affairs. Currently, 15 OCCs are operational, offering integrated services including medical care, legal aid, and rehabilitation. These centers have already served over 81,000 individuals, with a significant number experiencing physical and sexual abuse. The expansion aims to cover all 37 public medical colleges, alongside existing OCC cells in districts and upazilas.

This initiative is crucial for ensuring accessible and integrated support services for vulnerable populations, addressing the widespread issue of violence against women and children in the country.
