The EuroCup is set to undergo significant changes for the 2026/27 season, expanding from 20 to 32 participating teams. The tournament structure will shift to four groups of eight teams, with the top four from each group advancing to a TOP-16 stage. From the Round of 16 onwards, all playoff series, including quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, will be contested in a best-of-three format. Organizers have already confirmed 31 of the 32 teams, with approximately 20 expected to secure five-year contracts.
This expansion and restructuring of the EuroCup aims to increase competition and provide greater stability for participating clubs.
