ওএমএসের চাল-আটা কালোবাজারে বিক্রির দায়ে চুয়াডাঙ্গায় বিএনপি নেতাকে জরিমানা

A mobile court in Chuadanga has fined a local BNP leader and OMS dealer Tk 50,000 for illegally selling government-subsidized rice and flour on the black market. The court also seized 210 kg of rice and 70 kg of flour from the dealer, identified as Sohel Ahmed Malik. Malik, who is also the organizational secretary of the municipal BNP, was found to be diverting the allocated commodities meant for low-income individuals to sell at higher prices. The operation was conducted by an executive magistrate with police assistance at the Jhenaidah bus stand area.

This action highlights the government's efforts to curb corruption in its social welfare programs and ensure essential goods reach intended beneficiaries.
