মেঘনায় নিখোঁজের ২৮ ঘণ্টা পর শিশুর লাশ উদ্ধার
নোয়াখালীর হাতিয়া উপজেলায় বাবার জন্য খাবার পৌঁছে দিতে গিয়ে মেঘনা নদীতে নিখোঁজ হওয়া ছয় বছর বয়সী শিশু তামিমের লাশ দীর্ঘ ২৮ ঘণ্টা পর উদ্ধার করেছে কোস্টগার্ড। আজ বুধবার বিকেল ৫টা ৪০ মিনিটের দিকে উপজেলার তমরদ্দি ইউনিয়নের চর আতাউরের দক্ষিণে মেঘনা নদী থেকে ওই লাশ উদ্ধার করা হয়। এর আগে গতকাল মঙ্গলবার বেলা পৌনে দুইটার দিকে উপজেলার সোনাদিয়া ইউনিয়নের পশ্চিম চরচেঙ্গা গ্রামের পাশের মেঘনা নদীতে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত তামিম ওই গ্রামের জেলে শাহাদাত হোসেনের ছেলে। উপজেলা প্রশাসন ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে
A six-year-old boy, Tamim, who went missing in the Meghna River in Hatiya Upazila, Noakhali, has been found deceased. His body was recovered by the Coast Guard approximately 28 hours after he disappeared. Tamim had gone to the riverbank to deliver food to his father, a fisherman. While playing near the bank with a cousin, he accidentally fell into the water. Despite extensive searches by family, divers, and the Coast Guard, the child could not be found until his body was recovered from the river.
The recovery of the child's body highlights the dangers of river environments and the challenges faced in immediate search and rescue operations without dedicated local diving teams.
