Provincie geeft vergunning voor McDonald's in Hoevenen: plannen aangepast na negatief advies van gemeente
Fastfoodketen McDonald's krijgt van het provinciebestuur een vergunning voor een vestiging aan de Antwerpse Steenweg in Hoevenen, bij Stabroek. Het gemeentebestuur had eerst een negatief advies gegeven maar draaide bij nadat McDonald's zijn plannen had gewijzigd. Op basis daarvan heeft het provinciebestuur nu ook de vergunning voor een restaurant met drive-in goedgekeurd.
The provincial government has granted a permit for a new McDonald's restaurant in Hoevenen, near Stabroek. Initially, the local municipality had issued a negative recommendation for the fast-food chain's plans. However, McDonald's revised its proposals, leading the municipal authorities to change their stance. Consequently, the provincial executive has now approved the construction of the restaurant, which will include a drive-thru service.
This decision allows for the development of a new commercial establishment, following adjustments made to address initial local concerns.
