Ponte de 20 metros é furtada em Minas Gerais Uma ponte de aço de 20 metros de comprimento desapareceu em Prados, na Região Central de Minas Gerais, e foi localizada na manhã desta terça-feira (9) em Lima Duarte, a cerca de 180 quilômetros de distância, na região de Ibitipoca, na Zona da Mata mineira. A estrutura pertence à antiga Ferrovia Oeste de Minas e estava desativada. Segundo a Prefeitura de Prados, a ponte veio da Inglaterra e tem grande valor histórico para a cidade.
A 20-meter-long steel bridge, reportedly imported from England and possessing significant historical value, has been recovered in Minas Gerais. The structure, which was part of the disused Ferrovia Oeste de Minas, disappeared from Prados and was found approximately 180 kilometers away in Lima Duarte. Evidence at the original site, including heavy vehicle tracks and signs of backhoe use, suggests a complex operation was involved in its removal. The bridge, though deactivated, was still used by cyclists and motorcyclists.
The recovery of this historically significant and unique bridge is important for preserving local heritage and understanding the methods used in such unusual thefts.
