Teachers and students can play a significant role in environmental protection and finding scientific solutions to national problems, stated Zubaida Rahman, Vice President of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF). Speaking at the inauguration of a month-long tree plantation and science fair program at Dhaka University, she emphasized the need to work towards a greener and more livable planet for future generations. Rahman called for integrating "green volunteering" into the curriculum to raise environmental awareness among students and transform tree planting into a socio-economic green revolution. Dhaka University's Vice-Chancellor, A.B.M. Ouyalia Islam, highlighted the government's target of planting 250 million trees in five years to combat climate change and foster a science-minded nation.

The initiative underscores the critical role of educational institutions and scientific innovation in addressing environmental challenges and promoting national development.
