A recent poll by Infostat indicates that Progressive Slovakia would win the next parliamentary elections with 22.2% of the vote, narrowly ahead of Smer, which garnered 18.4%. The survey also revealed that the non-parliamentary party Republika would secure third place with 9.8%, followed by Hlas-SD at 9% and KDH at 8.9%. Hlas-SD has now consistently fallen below the 10% threshold, losing its previously held third position. Progressive Slovakia shows strong support among younger voters and those with higher education, while Smer appeals more to older demographics and individuals with basic education. Other parties like Hnutie Slovensko and SaS would also enter parliament, while Demokrati, Aliancia, and SNS would remain outside.
The poll highlights shifting political landscapes and potential challenges for established parties, indicating a dynamic electoral environment ahead of the next general election.
