Ceará tem redução de 48% no número de mortes violentas no mês de maio

The state of Ceará experienced a significant decrease of 48.7% in violent deaths during May compared to the same month last year, according to the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense. This reduction includes homicides, feminicides, deaths from bodily harm, and robberies resulting in death. In the capital city of Fortaleza, the drop in homicides was even more pronounced, reaching 70.8%. The metropolitan region also saw a substantial decline, while the interior of the state registered a smaller, yet still positive, reduction. Overall, for the first five months of the year, Ceará has seen a 39.7% decrease in intentional violent deaths.
