Serbian police have apprehended four individuals suspected of operating an illegal printing press in Belgrade to produce counterfeit academic documents. The operation, which ran from October 2025 until the present, allegedly generated over 120 fake certificates, diplomas from various educational levels, and exam confirmations. Authorities believe the scheme generated illicit profits exceeding 170,000 euros. During searches in Belgrade and Novi Pazar, investigators discovered a cache of forged documents, equipment for the printing operation, and seized over 44,000 euros in cash.
