'Pirarucu Fujona’ sai de quarentena e pode ser vista no Bioparque Pantanal A pirarucu que conquistou os sul-mato-grossenses após uma inusitada tentativa de fuga, ganhou um novo lar na manhã desta quarta-feira (10). A pirarucu, nicknamed 'Fujona' after an escape attempt from a transport vehicle, has found a new home at the Bioparque Pantanal in Campo Grande. The large fish spent approximately 65 days in quarantine, undergoing health assessments by biologists and veterinarians. Following this period, Fujona was moved to a large-tank exhibit designed for big aquatic species. She now shares her habitat with another pirarucu named Beto, as well as other large fish like pintados, cacharas, jaús, and stingrays.
The relocation of 'Fujona' to the Bioparque Pantanal highlights the facility's role in wildlife conservation, education, and raising public awareness about aquatic fauna and ecosystem protection.
