During the operation, which took place on Wednesday, officers discovered animal remains at one of the properties. A 71-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were apprehended at the scene.
In one residence, at least six cats and a dog were found in a squalid environment filled with garbage and insects. The other property housed a severely injured dog suffering from a fly infestation and necrosis. The individuals arrested are facing charges for animal cruelty.
