A small plane crash in Marília, São Paulo, resulted in the deaths of pilot Gabriel Maloni Mendes da Cruz, 24, and another passenger, Henrique Guariente Filho, 47. The aircraft belonged to Grupo Ponzan Alimentos, where Mendes da Cruz was employed. His uncle described him as a beloved individual who pursued his passion for aviation from a young age. A third person on board, Pablo Portella Ilwoski, 28, also a pilot, survived the crash and remains in serious condition. The plane reportedly took off and was returning to the same airport when it fell in a field near the runway.
