Minas Gerais Governor Matheus Simões has officially authorized the concession process for the construction of a new bridge over the Rio Grande river in Delfinópolis. This development aims to resolve the significant delays and logistical challenges currently faced by drivers using the ferry crossing between Cássia and Delfinópolis. The existing ferry service, often operating with limited capacity due to maintenance issues, causes hours-long queues and considerable financial losses for commercial transporters and local businesses. The new bridge is expected to drastically reduce travel time to mere minutes and improve the flow of goods and people in the region.
