Officials were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from a local resident about a large number of fish floating and dying in the river. JAS teams have collected water samples for chemical analysis, including BOD, COD, TSS, and oil/grease content, which will be sent to the Chemistry Department for detailed examination.
Initial assessments were conducted using specialized equipment, and drones were deployed to monitor the area for any activities that might have affected water quality. A local resident described the river water as unusually clear, a stark contrast to its normal murky state, coinciding with the discovery of numerous dead fish along the riverbanks, suggesting a potential lack of oxygen.
