Coupang penalized record 624.7 billion won for data breach

The regulator found that Coupang failed to implement adequate security measures to protect sensitive customer details. Additionally, the company was cited for collecting and using user data without proper consent, violating privacy regulations. This marks the largest fine ever issued by the PIPC.
