The cost to acquire Russian citizenship will surge nearly twelvefold, from 4,200 to 50,000 rubles. Similarly, the fee for a residence permit will increase five times, from 6,000 to 30,000 rubles, and the cost for a temporary residence permit will rise almost eightfold to 15,000 rubles. These changes, initiated by the Ministry of Finance, aim to regulate migration flows by attracting more established individuals to the country.
