KUALA LUMPUR: Tribunal Anti Gangguan Seksual (TAGS) menerima 99 aduan sejak penubuhannya pada 2024 dengan 80 kes berjaya diselesaikan dalam tempoh 60 hari. Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, berkata statistik sehingga Ahad lalu turut merekodkan sejumlah kecil kes membabitkan pengadu lelaki dan pelaku wanita. TAGS has also issued awards, including one upheld by the High Court for RM60,000 in an online sexual harassment case, serving as a reminder against the misuse of personal images. The tribunal encourages victims to come forward, emphasizing that sexual harassment encompasses verbal, non-verbal, visual, and physical actions, and offers remedies such as apologies, compensation up to RM250,000, and mandatory counseling.
This tribunal plays a crucial role in providing a platform for victims of sexual harassment to seek justice and raising public awareness about the various forms of such misconduct.
