Papua New Guinea's U-16 Women's National Team has been granted a late entry into the OFC U-16 Women's Championship 2026. The team will compete in the Solomon Islands from September 6-19. This opportunity arose after the Tahitian Football Federation withdrew from the tournament. As the runner-up in the qualifying stage, the Papua New Guinea Football Association received approval from the Oceania Football Confederation to fill the vacant spot. The PNG team will be placed directly into Group B.
