The fifth annual Cyprus Bloomsday Festival is set to highlight the significant female characters and influences in James Joyce's writings. This year's event, titled "Women's Voices in the Work of James Joyce, Ulysses," will take place on the rooftop of ARTos House in Agioi Omologites. Actresses Erika Begeti and Ioanna Papamichalopoulou will perform readings from Joyce's "Ulysses," focusing on the roles women played in the novel and the author's life. International tenor and actor Morgan Crowley will also be present, providing live piano accompaniment and vocal performances. The festival, a collaboration between Ideogramma and the Irish Embassy in Cyprus, will be presented in both Greek and English. Festivities commence at 8 PM with free admission, though advance booking is advised.

This festival celebrates literary heritage and explores the often-overlooked contributions and portrayals of women within a seminal work of 20th-century literature.
