The police have arrested a woman on the charge of killing her husband by conspiring with her paramour and others.

A team led by Police Inspector Javed Mushapuri arrested two associates of the woman.

Sandeep Manjre, ex-Serviceman, was seriously injured in an accident during the village fair in Yamakanamaradi near Belagavi. He was found inebriated and was admitted to a private hospital.

The local police then began investigation when he died. Investigators found that the patient had been administered pesticides through intravenous injections.

Questioning the staff revealed a plot involving the retired soldier’s wife and another man with whom she was having an affair.

They had bribed the hospital staff to inject the pesticide into the tubes.
