Three persons selling ganja were arrested by the Petbasheerabad police on Thursday following a raid at Central Park in Kompally. Officials seized 6 kilograms of ganja from their possession. The accused were identified as Suraj Mandal, Paramesh Bairagi and Jayadev Mandal, all natives of Odisha. Acting on specific information about ganja being sold in the area, police reached the spot and took the trio into custody. During questioning, the accused confessed to transporting ganja illegally from Odisha for sale in Hyderabad. A case was booked and further investigation is underway.
