Bhashyam Ramakrishna, Sana Satish Babu and Chintakayala Vijay of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Lingamaneni Ramesh of the Jana Sena Party (JSP) were declared as elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha (RS) as no other candidates entered the fray.
Returning officer R. Vanitha stated in a press release that only those three candidates were in the contest at 3 p.m. on June 11, which was the closing time for filing nominations.
The nominations of the TDP and JSP candidates were found to be in order and hence their election to the RS was announced as per norms. The RS election notification was issued by the Election Commission of India on June 1, 2026.
Election for the four seats was necessitated by the expiry of the term of YSR Congress Party MPs Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Parimal Nathwani, and the TDP’s Sana Satish, who has been renominated by the party.
