AIIMS Syringe Recall: Health Ministry Cites Precautionary Safety Measure

India's Ministry of Health has clarified that a recent recall of disposable 10 ml syringes at AIIMS was a proactive step to ensure patient safety. The ministry stated that the recall was a precautionary measure following quality-related concerns. These concerns led to two separate recall notices being issued within the past month for syringes from different manufacturers. The information was conveyed in a letter to Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda.
