Armenia Appeals to EEC Over Russian Export Barriers

Armenia has formally approached the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) to address trade restrictions imposed by Russia on several Armenian products. Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan confirmed that his ministry has initiated procedures with the EEC concerning these "prohibitions, barriers and restrictions."

The measures taken by Russia affect a wide array of Armenian goods, including mineral water, alcoholic beverages, vegetables, and fruits, prompting Armenia's appeal to the commission.

This action highlights ongoing trade friction within the Eurasian Economic Union and its impact on member states' export capabilities.
