Sloveniji grozi nov Šutarjev zakon

Slovenia faces the potential of a new law, referred to as "Šutar's law," which could lead to a significant downgrade in European standards. Tina Divjak, deputy head of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (KPK), warned that merging the KPK, the prosecution service, and the police would be detrimental.
This proposed consolidation, if enacted by lawmakers, would undermine the country's adherence to established European benchmarks for anti-corruption bodies and law enforcement.
The potential merger threatens to weaken Slovenia's anti-corruption framework and its alignment with European standards.
