Korea Regulator Fines Coupang 624.7 Billion Won for Privacy Breaches

South Korea's Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) has imposed a substantial 624.7 billion won penalty on e-commerce giant Coupang. This record-breaking fine stems from allegations that the company engaged in unfair practices related to customer data. The regulator found that Coupang manipulated search results and unfairly promoted its own private brand products over those of third-party sellers.
