Reservetrein Noorderkempen verdwijnt: 2 extra locomotieven op lijn
De tijdelijke reservetrein verdwijnt uit het station Noorderkempen in Brecht. Het was een noodoplossing van de NMBS om het aantal geschrapte ritten daar te beperken. Intussen is een permanente oplossing voorzien. "Het aantal afschaffingen is teruggebracht tot een aanvaardbaar niveau", blikt Vlaams Parlementslid Dorien Cuylaerts (N-VA) terug.
The temporary reserve train stationed at Noorderkempen station in Brecht will be removed. This train was initially deployed by NMBS as a temporary measure to mitigate the impact of cancelled train services in the area. With the introduction of a permanent solution, the number of service disruptions has reportedly decreased to an acceptable level.
This development signifies an improvement in the reliability of train services on the Belgian-Dutch line, addressing previous cancellations.
