Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy on Friday said that Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) was helping people to address their problems related to lands, ration cards, pensions and other government related matters. He held a PGRS meet in Bobbili to enable people of the division to meet him and explain their problems.
Speaking to media, the Collector said that all the officials and staff have been directed to close petitions only after ensuring that the people are satisfied with the redressal.
Ambedkar Porata Samithi president Soru Sambayya submitted a petition with regard to alleged 18.7 acres land grab, which was previously allocated for burial ground and other public needs. He said that lands worth crores adjacent to the RCM church were being occupied by influential persons and contractors of Bobbili. The Collector assured to order an inquiry and take steps to protect those lands.
