Van Gils zmagovalec etape, Tuckwell prevzel vodstvo
Pred julijskim Tourom smo videli, da Paul Seixas še ni optimalno pripravljen. V rumeni majici presenetljivo Rogličev ekipni kolega. Zbolel tudi Matevž Govekar.
Maxim Van Gils of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe claimed victory in the sixth stage of the Tour de l'Ain, formerly the Critérium du Dauphiné. The demanding 182 km mountain stage concluded with a climb to Crest-Voland. Van Gils, returning from injury, was the strongest of the final breakaway riders, having initiated a move with his teammate Luke Tuckwell. Tuckwell's strong performance allowed him to take the overall lead in the general classification. French rider Paul Seixas attempted to gain ground but was unable to shake off all competitors, including Isaac del Toro. The race remains open for the final stages, with Tuckwell holding a lead over Bruno Armirail and Matteo Jorgenson. Slovenian rider Gal Glivar is the sole remaining national competitor after Matej Mohorič and Matevž Govekar withdrew.
Maxim Van Gils won the stage and Luke Tuckwell took the overall lead, significantly altering the race's standings after a challenging mountain stage.
