Govt avoids hostility despite political differences: Anwar

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim asserted that the government does not adopt a hostile approach, even acknowledging political differences among leaders. He cited the unity government's collaboration between himself and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as an example of working together for the people's benefit. Regarding Negeri Sembilan, he stated the federal government does not interfere in royal matters, emphasizing that all issues must be resolved according to the constitution and existing laws. While acknowledging differing views on the state's monarchy, he affirmed respect for the state government's jurisdiction and the Yang Dipertuan Besar's authority. Anwar clarified that he has engaged with relevant parties, including the Undang, without challenging the Adat Perpatih or the state's constitution, and urged against politicizing royal institutions.
