Lançamento do livro 'Eu sou uma mulher de rua' em São Luís

Artists and researchers Ana Regina Arcanjo and Lygia Peçanha are launching their book, "Eu sou uma mulher de rua. Eu ando quase nua porque eu sou uma mulher crua," in São Luís. The publication draws from memories, oral traditions, popular culture, spirituality, and lived experiences within the historic center of the Maranhão capital. It explores themes connected to the Tambor de Crioula, local spiritual beliefs, cuisine, and the lives of people on the streets of São Luís. The book aims to highlight knowledge, affections, and practices often overlooked in official narratives about heritage and urban spaces. Initially part of a larger collection, this interview-based work will also be translated into Spanish. The project includes a musical composition, an audiobook, and a soundscape, supported by national cultural funding.

This event marks the release of a new book that explores cultural identity and lived experiences in São Luís, contributing to the region's artistic and literary landscape.
