Following a day of cloudy skies and a heavy evening downpour, an event celebrating music and spirituality unfolded. The melodies of Dewan Hason Raja, a renowned folk singer from the 'Bhati' region, transported the audience to a unique emotional realm. The concert, titled 'Pranbondher Shone,' was jointly organized by MW Magazine Bangladesh and Square Toiletries Limited's wellness brand 'Maya' at the Aloki Convention Center in Tejgaon, Dhaka. Dedicated to the memory of Hason Raja, a prominent mystic folk singer and songwriter, the event aimed to honor his legacy. Raja, born in Sunamganj in 1854, left an indelible mark on music with his lyrics expressing spiritual quests and profound love. Contemporary artists performed his timeless songs with modern arrangements, blending traditional and Western instruments, under the musical direction of Shayan Chowdhury Arnob. The event highlighted the preservation and promotion of Hason Raja's rich musical heritage among the younger generation.
