Global top ten wafer foundries saw a 3.7% sequential increase in revenue for the first quarter, reaching a new high of $47.95 billion. This growth was driven by strong demand for AI and HPC (High-Performance Computing) related orders, as well as increased production of peripheral ICs for TVs and computers. Industry analysts anticipate that the second quarter will witness another peak in output for these leading foundries. Notably, Crystal Integrated moved up from ninth to eighth place in the rankings during the first quarter. The surge in orders reflects a trend of clients requesting early production or additional shipments.
