BCB Calls for Investigation into Cricketer Nayeem's Assault

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Cricketers' Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) have expressed deep concern and demanded an investigation into the alleged assault of national spinner Nayeem Hasan by law enforcement officers. Nayeem Hasan reportedly traveled to Chittagong after playing a Dhaka Premier League match on Friday night. He claims that while returning home, members of the law enforcement agency stopped him, behaved aggressively, and assaulted him, even after he identified himself as a national cricketer. He was allegedly beaten with a pipe and taken to the Khulshi police station, where he faced further mistreatment. The BCB has stated it is in constant communication with Nayeem and his family to ensure their safety and provide support. The board is actively working with Chittagong authorities to resolve the issue and ensure appropriate action is taken against those responsible. CWAB has also strongly condemned the alleged physical abuse and harassment.
