Government Whip Aadi Srinivas alleged that neither a bus tour by BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao nor a padayatra by his son K.T. Rama Rao would help the party regain public confidence as people were aware of their ‘Pragati Bhavan and Farm House’ politics.

Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Mr. Srinivas remarked that even if KCR undertook a statewide bus tour, KTR launched a padayatra, or T. Harish Rao embarked on a separate campaign, it would yield no political benefit.

The Congress leader alleged that during their decade in power, BRS leaders remained confined to Pragathi Bhavan and farmhouses, rarely interacting with the public. “KCR repeatedly claimed he would tour districts through bus yatras while in office, but never met the people directly. That is why voters rejected the party,” he said.

Targeting KTR, Mr. Srinivas said the people of Telangana were well aware of the “luxurious lifestyle” enjoyed by BRS leaders during their tenure in power, including travel in helicopters, luxury cars, farmhouses and villas.

The Government whip also criticised Mr. KCR for remaining away from active politics despite serving as the Leader of the Opposition. “Before talking about padayatras, KTR should bring his father out of the farmhouse,” he remarked.

Accusing the BRS and the Bharatiya Janata Party of tacit political cooperation, Mr. Srinivas said KTR’s repeated references to the BJP as the main rival exposed an understanding between the two parties. “Whether they come together or contest separately, the people of Telangana will reject both parties,” he said.

Mr. Srinivas also claimed that KTR was uneasy about the State Government’s ambitious Future City project, stating that the initiative had become a source of concern for the BRS leaders.
