Burkina Faso: 35 Million FCFA from Book Sales to Patriotic Support Fund
Le Ministre Secrétaire général de la Présidence du Faso, Dr Zakaria Soré a procédé le vendredi 12 juin 2026 à la remise officielle d'un chèque de 35 332 000 FCFA au Fonds de Soutien Patriotique (FSP), informe la direction de la communication de la Présidence. Dr. Zakaria Soré, Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of Burkina Faso, officially handed over a check for 35,332,000 FCFA to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP). This sum was generated from the distribution of "Recueil de discours du Capitaine Ibrahim Traoré" and the "Manifeste de la Révolution Progressiste Populaire," launched on April 26th during the National Culture Week. Minister Soré highlighted the public's strong interest in these works, interpreting it as a desire to embrace indigenous thought and support the nation's political and peace efforts. The Minister Delegate for the Budget, Fatoumata Bako/Traoré, described each book purchase as an act of resistance and a contribution to national sovereignty. The books remain available for purchase at official distribution points, including the National Archives and the Sidwaya newspaper in Ouagadougou, as well as governorates in other regions.
This initiative demonstrates a tangible link between cultural dissemination, patriotic support, and national development efforts in Burkina Faso.
