Strumica has successfully concluded its inaugural 'JAZZ STReam Festival,' marking a significant cultural event for the city and the region. Held from June 4th to 7th, the festival transformed Strumica into a hub for jazz music, filling the city with vibrant energy. The four-day program featured a diverse range of activities, including concerts, book and music releases, discussions with artists, jam sessions, and DJ sets across multiple city locations. The opening ceremony, attended by over 500 people, featured the National Jazz Orchestra conducted by Maestro Gian Emin. The festival also showcased prominent Macedonian jazz artists such as the 'Goce Stevkovski Quintet' and 'Toni Kitanovski Trio,' alongside international guests like trumpeter Chad McCullough from Chicago. Events were held in various venues, integrating jazz into the city's daily rhythm and connecting different generations of music lovers. The festival builds upon Strumica's long-standing jazz tradition, dating back to the formation of the first Macedonian dixieland orchestra in 1967.
