Preso suspeito de roubar e agredir empresária na Via Norte

Police in Ribeirão Preto, SP, have arrested a man suspected of robbing and assaulting a businesswoman on Via Norte. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday morning, was captured on security cameras. The victim was struck with the butt of a gun shortly after exiting her vehicle. The suspect, identified as William César Ribeiro, arrived on a motorcycle and fled with cash and personal belongings from the businesswoman and her companion. He also fired a shot into the air before leaving. Authorities apprehended Ribeiro on Friday evening following an anonymous tip. He was found with a .38 caliber revolver, clothing matching the description from the assault, and a cell phone. He confessed to the crime during his arrest and has been taken to the police station for further investigation by the Civil Police.
