New Political Landscape and the Majority Goal

The emergence of two new political parties has significantly reshaped the established political landscape. A combined 22.4% of voters, previously supporting other parties, have shifted their allegiance to these new formations. This shift has reduced the undecided voter percentage and the 'other' party category. Significant losses are noted for Plevsi Eleftherias (-2.8%) and SYRIZA (-2.7%), with SYRIZA now barely exceeding 1%. PASOK (-1.4%), Elliniki Lysi (-1.1%), and KKE (-0.6%) also show declines. New Democracy (ND) appears to be the primary beneficiary, gaining 1.2% and attracting some former PASOK voters. Despite this, ND's current 25% intention and 28.6% estimation keep its goal of achieving an outright majority challenging. The Prime Minister seems willing to risk confrontation to highlight the potential instability of a fragmented vote.
